Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers Hardness Tester NOVOTEST TS-BRV

Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers Hardness Tester NOVOTEST TS-BRV

This bench hardness tester is designed for hardness testing under Brinell, Rockwell, and Vickers method in line with ISO 6508, ASTM E10, ASTM E92, and ASTM E18. This versatile hardness tester uses a multi-stage test force and comes with different indenters for hardness testing under Brinell, Rockwell and Vickers test method. The device is suitable for testing parts made of ferrous metals (steel, cast iron, mild steel and hardened steel) and nonferrous metals (aluminum and copper alloys). It is also suitable for hardness testing of hard alloys, carburized and chemically treated layers. TB-BRV is easy to set and use, it has a durable build and gives highly repeatable measurements. This hardness tester can be a great helper anywhere when many hardness test methods need to be used, be it a manufacturing facility, research institute, metrology, laboratory, or a workshop.

Tester application with different methods allows user to solve almost all hardness measurement tasks: hardness measurement of different materials and in a wide range – from very soft up to the hardest materials.

Key Features:

Easy operation and automatic application of the test force

The device operation is simple and intuitive. Users should just select the Rockwell scale, set the test force and time of the force application, and put the indenter down to the test object. After pushing the START button on the control panel, the device will apply load automatically at the preset time. When the set test force and dwell time are reached, the device will take the load off and the large dial will show the hardness value of the test object. At least 5 measurements shall be made for the best evaluation of test objects.

3 test methods in a single device

The possibility to measure with 3 methods at once makes it the most versatile and suitable for almost the most diverse and in general absolutely all test objects. Also this feature of the three measuring methods in one device makes it the best choice according to the price criterion – it is much cheaper to buy a device than 3 separate devices for measurements according to 3 different methods.

Versatility for a wide range of materials

The presence of a wide variety of scales and test forces makes this versatile analog device applicable to a wide range of materials. The range varies from non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and its alloys, brass, copper, tin to steel, cast iron, low carbon steel and tempered steel, and also the parts made of hard alloys, carbonized and chemically treated layers.

Comfort of use and assessment of imprints
The device has a built-in optical microscope for Brinell and Vickers measurements and easily mounts on the device. It also comes with 2 replaceable lenses with 2.5X and 5X magnification so users can choose the most comfortable lens depending on the task. The microscope has a 15x magnification so the imprints can be viewed in the smallest details for convenient, fast and accurate measurement, and the test object will be clearly visible with the external and internal backlight that installs on the microscope. The special sliding stand for the microscope allows easy moving of the test object under the microscope and measuring the imprint. This makes measurements even more comfortable.
